Silence is golden, to Satan

Ephesians 5:10-11

10 Carefully determine what pleases the Lord. 11 Take no part in the worthless deeds of evil and darkness; instead, expose them

There are three commands in these two verses and of you read them to quickly you will only see two. The first is pretty strait forward carefully determine what pleases the Lord. I think carefully is the key word there and perhaps where the phrase what would Jesus do came from. The next is taking no part in the worthless deeds of evil and darkness. Okay I get that one again pretty easy. However the one a person could tend to miss and perhaps the most difficult is the last one, instead expose them. Now this one is tough, at least for me anyway, exposing the worthless deeds of evil and darkness. This is where the world will throw the judgmental word in your face just to shut you up. Satan loves a quite Christian. As a Christian it is okay to say that sin is wrong, and that Jesus is the cure for sin, that is not being judgmental. In fact it is the exact opposite. Not warning someone of impending destruction is cold and callous if you ask me. The key as always is to be able to tell the truth in love. Again not to do evil is one thing, but to expose evil that is another. That takes faith and we are to live by faith and faith alone.
