Reach for the effective button not the easy button

If anyone ever says that if you become a Christian you automatically get an easy button like you see on TV they are most likely not a Christian but a false teacher. The opposite is more likely, becoming a Christian brings forth a whole new set of problems. As soon as a person accepts Christ here comes Satan and his demons to discredit you, to silence you, to frustrate you, the list goes on and on. Satan does not want you to be effective in winning more people to Christ. Then on the flip side how you react to the trials and suffering in your life is really how you do become effective for the LORD. Kind of funny when you stop and think about it that what Satan tries to use for bad turns out to be good. If we are fortunate we may be able to see what we thought was bad was acutally good in this lifetime. However we may not, and we have to be okay with that. After all that is faith.  Stop and think about it who do you know that has “pardon the expression” been through hell, that the faith in Christ they express has been an inspiration to you. Be that person for others to see when you are experiencing the trails in life that Satan has intended to be bad but God can use for good. So don’t reach for the easy button reach for the effective button.
1 Thessalonians 1:6-7
6 So you received the message with joy from the Holy Spirit in spite of the severe suffering it brought you. In this way, you imitated both us and the Lord. 7 As a result, you have become an example to all the believers in Greece—throughout both Macedonia and Achaia.
