Today’s blog is part of a series I’m going to call Despicable me. It will be about possibly one of the most important yet most misunderstood subjects in the Bible. A subject has to be properly understood for a person even being to understand the grace of God and that subject is Sin.
Despicable me 4: Not what we once were
We were made in the image of God but since Adam and Eve took that fatal bite we have fallen and mankind is not as we once were. JC Ryle said this.
“We are like smashed up temples. There is still a trace of original splendor as creatures made in the image of God, but the temple that was once glorious now has broken windows and columns crumbling, and doorways smashed in. We are not what we once were.
There is still a glimpse and once we go to be with the LORD we will be restored to the image we were intended.
