God built a prison and called it Hell

Jude 1:6-7
6 And I remind you of the angels who did not stay within the limits of authority God gave them but left the place where they belonged. God has kept them securely chained in prisons of darkness, waiting for the great day of judgment. 7 And don’t forget Sodom and Gomorrah and their neighboring towns, which were filled with immorality and every kind of sexual perversion. Those cities were destroyed by fire and serve as a warning of the eternal fire of God’s judgment.

Hell is one of those things that a lot of people would whether not talk about but it does exist and is a terrible place. I have talked about Hell often in these blogs but today I wanted to say something from a little different perspective. Some people will say how can a loving God send anyone to Hell? The answer is because he is a loving God. God made Hell to protect us. Hell is not much different than a prison. We build prisons to protect the people; a person does not just end up in prison they chose to go to prison when they broke the law. Un-believers choose to go to Hell because they refuse to trust in Jesus, they just don’t end up there. What would Heaven be like if there were those there that didn’t love Christ? It wouldn’t be Heaven. God built a prison and called it Hell. He built it to proctect those he loves. Have you ever stopped to think about that?
