3 Dear friends, I had been eagerly planning to write to you about the salvation we all share. But now I find that I must write about something else, urging you to defend the faith that God has entrusted once for all time to his holy people. 4 I say this because some ungodly people have wormed their way into your churches, saying that God’s marvelous grace allows us to live immoral lives. The condemnation of such people was recorded long ago, for they have denied our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.
Did you ever stop and think what it would be like for a pastor in Hell? Perhaps not, but I’m thinking there is a special place in Hell for Pastors. Something like a VIP lounge (very incinerated pastor). Because the Bible does say the preachers and teachers are held to a higher standard. This verse is of course not just talking about pastor’s but of all kinds of people who are in the church you have to be careful because Satan does some of his best work from inside the church and if he can get a pastor to do his work he can be very successful. There are all kinds of people who write bestselling books, have shows on TV, who get quoted all the time, who have mega churches who in the end will end up in Hell because all along they have denied Jesus. You have to be careful following any of these people to closely, you have to be able to test what they say against scripture.
One other thing that you may have not thought about God is not surprised when “church people” or even when a pastor goes to hell because right here it says for it was recorded long ago. You know it happens so be on guard.
