Jesus came to the world to save sinners. Why did he do this? For the simple fact that we cannot save ourselves, as sinners we are no different than the guy in this picture. You would have to agree that it would be impossible for this guy to dig himself out. To live he is going to have to have someone save him. Sinners are no different they cannot save themselves no more than this guy can get out of his hole. They are in a sense buried alive. We all need a rescuer and that is Jesus. If you’re buried just call for help from the only one who can help and that’s Jesus.
1 Timothy 1:15-16
15 This is a trustworthy saying, and everyone should accept it: “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners”—and I am the worst of them all. 16 But God had mercy on me so that Christ Jesus could use me as a prime example of his great patience with even the worst sinners. Then others will realize that they, too, can believe in him and receive eternal life.
