Today when I read 2 Timothy 2:19, I was reminded of this picture that we took just in October when we drove through Joplin Missouri 6 months after that devastating tornado. It says
19 But God’s truth stands firm like a foundation stone with this inscription: “The Lord knows those who are his,”[a] and “All who belong to the Lord must turn away from evil.”
God’s truth stands no matter the powers that come against you, the devastation in your life that comes, or just the inconveniences you face. The truth will stand. Just like in the picture everything else is gone only the foundation is left. The foundation is God’s truth and the LORD knows who are His. If He is calling you answer, and if you have answered His call make sure you turn away from evil because that temptation is there every day. Someday the your foundation may be all that’s left, make sure you have one.
