Accountability is a word that we either don't hear much today, or is not really understood.
In our society today it seems like right and wrong is relative so that means is there a right or a wrong? But there is, and someday we will be taken to task for it. Hebrews 4:13 says:

"Nothing in all creation is hidden from God. Everything is naked and exposed before his eyes, and he is the one to whom we are accountable."

If you stop and think about it you can not get by with anything. Even though you may think you can. If you drive at car you more than likely have driven one mile an hour over the speed limit. That makes you guilty of breaking the law even if you have not ever gotten a ticket for it.
If you have ever taken a breath you have broken one of God's laws and you are not going to get by with that. You will be held accountable to him.
It's a scary thought really. My advice is to find someone or even more than one person close to you and visit with them, study Gods word with them and help hold each other accountable now. Even though it is against what society teaches accountability will actually make your life better now and make judgement day go allot better.
