A very simple observation about the cross from the book Doctrine.
The cross is something done by you.
The cross is something done for you.
When you stop and think about it how simple and how true.
Yet do we really grasp how unjust Christ being crucified was? Or how much suffering he endured for us?
Did you know that the word excruciating was coined because of crucifixion? At that time there was no word to describe the pain that it caused.
Christ hung on the cross for you. Thank him today.
