The easiest way to get a person to believe a lie is to tell them something they want to hear. Tell them something that they want to hear and you will suck them in without much effort. It’s much harder to get people to believe things they don’t want to hear. I don’t know if there are many people who would disagree with any of these statements because it’s just human nature. Guess who is an expert in human nature? Satan of course he knows this and uses it to perfection. That one reason for the fact that there are over 20 major religions in the world today and not to mention that there are even so called Christian churches that are in fact not Christian. There have been many who have attended good Bible believing, preaching churches that left because they did not like what they heard, which was only the truth. They instead will go somewhere where they can hear things that make them feel good. These types of people when they are told the truth make me think of the phrase la la la la I can’t hear you. Don’t be one of these people. The Bible tells us that this will in fact happen don’t let it happen to you. Sometimes the truth is not pleasant but it’s still the truth.
2 Timothy 4
3 For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear.
