Revelation 22:11
11 Let the one who is doing harm continue to do harm; let the one who is vile continue to be vile; let the one who is righteous continue to live righteously; let the one who is holy continue to be holy.”It is always very important not to just read the Bible, but to study it and find other things that go along with it. Usually when I study the Bible my first resources is the ESV study Bible. The notes that come with it are extremely helpful. When reading today’s verse it was these notes that really put this verse into perspective for me. Here is what they said:
Patterns of behavior, whether controlled by unbelief or by faith, will eventually be irreversible.
This really hit home for me today because when we think of Christianity and being saved we always think there is a chance, which is true. However at some point there is a point of no return at which from then on it will be too late. There will be no going back, no do over’s and each will be left to their own. At some point the ones who are evil will just be evil and there won’t be a thing you can do about it. The real sobering part is at some point, at death or the return of Jesus even prayer will not help. Make sure you are in the right place before coming to the point of no return.
