Who could be worse the Hitler?

If you were to stop and think about the one person who has brought the most pain and suffering to this earth, who do you think of? For a lot of people the first person to come to mind would be Adolf Hitler. He did in fact cause a terrible amount of pain and suffering. Now the truth is there is someone, when it comes to pain, suffering and death that Hitler does not even come close. If you’re asking who could be worse that Hitler, the answer is Adam. It was Adam who by his disobedience unleashed pain, suffering and death on the earth. Prior to eating the fruit those things never even existed. You may say it’s not fair but to this day we are all paying for Adam’s sin because when he sinned it caused all of mankind to have a sinful nature. This is called in theological terms imputation. Perhaps the simplest way to think of imputation would be to look at it as hereditary. We all come from Adam and sin is like a bad gene that has been passed down from generation to generation. The reason we sin has been passed down to us. It’s not fair but neither are any other bad genes that are passed down. There has been much work done in gene therapy to fix those bad genes that cause disease and illness in us, however the first successful gene therapy was done by Jesus himself. His death on the cross made it possible for those He chooses to be saved from the results of sin which is death. So Adam and not Hitler has had the most adverse effect on mankind. The good news is that Jesus came to fix it all.

Romans 5:12
12 When Adam sinned, sin entered the world. Adam’s sin brought death, so death spread to everyone, for everyone sinned.
